Owner

Dave Billings, owner of Maraman Billings Funeral Home is a 1978 Graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. The Billings Family has been honored to serve the community since 1987. Dave is also currently serving as the Bullitt County Coroner since 2011.


Dave has three children, members of Southeast Christian Church, a member of Bullitt Lodge 155 F&AM, Kosair Shrine Temple. Dave and Pam are active members of the community in which they are honored to serve.

Sam is Dave’s youngest son. While growing up in the funeral home, he attended Cedar Grove Elementary and Berheim Middle School before graduation from Bullitt Central High School in 2004. He graduated from Mid-America College of Mortuary Science and has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2009. He is the proud father of two children; Natalee and Isaac. Sam is married to Melissa Chatto Billings. When not working at the funeral home or busy setting monuments with Adam, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.

Adam is Dave’s oldest son. While growing up in the funeral home with Sam, he also attended Cedar Grove and Bernheim before graduating from Saint Xavier High School in 1999. With football being one of his top priorities after high school, he has taken a slightly different route into the family business. After playing football at the University of Tennessee for three years he transferred and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Maryville College. Having stints coaching and teaching in Wisconsin, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina, he was happy to return to Kentucky in 2011. He is currently the head football coach at North Bullitt High School, and after teaching math there for two years he started his apprenticeship and worked full time at the funeral home in the Summer of 2017 and received his Funeral Directors License in 2019. He and his wife of over 10 years, Shelby, are the proud parents of two children, Jacob and Rachel. If he is not out setting monuments with Sam, he enjoys coaching football and spending time with his family.

Jeanette started with Maraman Billings Funeral Home in the fall of 2017. Jeanette is a 2017 graduate of Mid America College of Mortuary Science and a 1999 graduate of North Bullitt High School.

Tim W. Gonterman is a native of Mt. Washington and a 1979 graduate of Bullitt Central High School. Tim is a 1981 graduate of the Mid-America College of Funeral Service and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a Volunteer with the Mt. Washington Community Ministries, Member of the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery Board, and a member of Lone Hill United Baptist Church and their cemetery board. Tim is color commentator for Bullitt East Sports on 95.3 WFBR and serves as an Inspector for the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Tim lives in Mt. Washington. He has 2 daughters Devin Prather(Joe) and Danielle Wetzel (Chris), and three grandsons, Zander, Gavin and Reed.

Ernie is a retired employee of Ford Motor Company and the President of the Mountain City Cruisers Car Club.
