The Beginning
Maraman Billings Funeral Home has been serving the Bullitt County, Central Kentucky and Louisville metro area since 1880. We are proud to be an independently funeral home. Our staff strives to provide exceptional service.
We offer many options personally designed for every family we serve, from full service traditional funerals with ground or above ground burial to direct cremation and memorial services.
The location of our funeral home today originally started as the Maraman Family's personal residence and the first home with air conditioning in the city of Shepherdsville. One of our goals is to create an environment that accommodates your needs and helps you to feel comfortable in your surroundings. Our facilities are designed to feel more like a home for funerals rather than a place of business. Our staff creates a world class service environment while still retaining the charm and reverence prevalent in this southern community. We are familiar and work with religious, civic, military, end-of-life planning and service organizations to meet both the private and social needs of each individual. Our facilities are handicap accessible with ample lighted parking. We invite your inspection and look forward to meeting you.
Our family has been honored to own and operate Maraman-Billings Funeral Home since 1987 and we obtained the Cedar Grove Cemetery in March of 1999. We had sold monuments for years, and with the mergers of some of the independent memorial providers and the skyrocketing prices we found it an opportunity to start Billings Family Memorials with the idea of providing memorials in the local area. We have quickly branched out into a five state region.
We have been blessed with continued growth of our service and we could have never been so bold to dream that it would have grown like it has. We know in today's times there are many choices available to families, but our promise to you is that we will treat you like we would want to be treated, provide exceptional service at the most affordable prices in the area.
