Winston "Win" Ray Keith, born in Olaton, KY, on January 29, 1933, and Beverly "Dean" Shaw Keith, born in Louisville, KY on July 28, 1936, both made indelible marks on the hearts of those who knew them. Winston passed away on February 7, 2025, and Dean left this world on November 6, 2022, both passed at their home in Hendersonville, TN. They shared a remarkable bond, celebrating 68 years of marriage, marrying on July 7, 1954, and creating a legacy of love and family that will resonate for generations to come.
Win proudly served his country in the United States Navy, on a four-year tour of duty. He embodied the spirit of service and commitment, values he carried throughout his life, which was reflected in his devotion to family and community. Win retired from the collision repair industry at the age of 65, after which he and Dean went to work for the Corp of Engineers as park attendants at the campgrounds of Nolin Lake and Rough River. They spent the next 16 years overseeing the campgrounds, making numerous friends with likeminded individuals through the Corp of Engineers, other park attendants and campers they were able to see on a frequent basis. They didn't see the position as job, it was a labor of love. Win and Dean spent 4 months a year camping in Floridia over the winter while the campgrounds were closed. Camping was a major family hobby, many trips included brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews. Win and Dean enjoyed spending nights sitting next to a campfire listening to the Grand Ole Opry and playing music. Win was a musician and Dean enjoyed listening to him play whether in a public place or just in groups playing for enjoyment in private places such as homes. Together Win and Dean built bonds with wonderful people, raised an ever-growing family, found love and loyalty within each other, they kept each other on beat, creating songs and music for their original soundtrack. A mixed tape for the decades, memories forever cherished.
Together, Win and Dean nurtured a loving family comprised of their living daughters, Denise Keith Lyvers and Anita L. Harrod, alongside her husband Paul. Their influence extended through the laughter and joy of five grandchildren: Nicole Duggins (Timmy), Joseph Legan (Michelle), Keith Legan (Joanna), Jennifer Reynolds (Izaiah Gray), and Steven Reynolds (Lindsey), as well as their honorary grandson Charlie Barbera (Amy). The family also celebrates the legacy of 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, who were touched by the warmth of Winston and Dean's love.
They are also remembered alongside their beloved daughters Gina Marie Keith and Terri Renee Keith, who have preceded them in death, forever holding a cherished place in the hearts of the family.
