William “Bill” Casper Farner, 84 of Shepherdsville, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Baptist Health in Louisville.
Bill was a Methodist by faith and a member of Davidson Memorial United Methodist Church in Shepherdsville. He was a proud graduate of North Carolina State University, earning a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1959. He was a long-term member of the Shepherdsville Lion’s Club and a member of the Train Collector’s Association, dating back to 1972. He loved high school football and one of his favorite things to do was attend Bullitt Central football games.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 62 years, Mildred “Jackie” Farner, along with his parents Mildred and Fred Tolson.
Bill is survived by his sons William Michael “Mike” Farner (Jeannie) and Phillip Alan Farner (Lynne); his brother Douglas Farner (Marianne); his sisters Sharon Noles (Keith) and Wilma Hughes; his grandchildren Sara Kathleen Farner and Kelly Rebecca Farner.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Beverly Maguffee. Entombment will follow in Hebron Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. until the time of service.
