Wayne Eddington

May 10, 1949 — April 16, 2023

Wayne Eddington, 73 of Shepherdsville, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital with his family by his side.
Wayne was a Baptist by faith and a member of Vine Hill Baptist Church. He was a generous man, always helping people in need. A great dad and grandfather, he took an active role in raising his family and was always there for his kids. He was an animal lover, with his favorite animal being his dog, Vincent. He was a member of Derby City Mustang Club, and the Do-Nothing Car Club. He loved to garden, and always had a vegetable garden. Wayne was very active with U of L Women’s Basketball. But his favorite pastime was dressing up and playing Santa for his grandkids and the people at church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mildred Eddington; his sister, Lynn Eddington.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of over 25 years, Lynn Eddington; his children, Melissa Martin (Rob), Kathy Donohue (Jacob), Robbie Eddington (Amanda), and Stephanie Eddington (fiancé Mike Naumann); his brother, Reggie Eddington (Bridget); along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren that he loved dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Crenshaw officiating. An inurnment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be on Sunday, from 3-8 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
