Wanda Faye Montgomery

Wanda Montgomery, 75, a longtime resident of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, died on October 31, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Wanda was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 24, 1946. Wanda was a graduate of Valley High School class of 1964. After high school she
worked for the L&N Railroad until 1976. From that time on she was a
homemaker raising her children, serving her family, and serving in her
church. Wanda was born again as a young girl (8), later she was baptized into membership at Valley View Baptist Church. At the time of her death, she belonged to Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Dale (married August 26, 1967); and their two children Malinda (Tommy) and Michael (Jeanne); seven grandchildren: Cody, Tanner (Kallen), Sadie, Gracie, Mattie, Allie, and Henry; her siblings: Betty (Herschel) Pierce, Jim (Suzie) Hester, Steve (Vonnie)Hester, and Pat (Bernie)
Coons.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Adrine Hester, and her sister Cindy (Johnny) Kinberger.
Funeral services will be held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church located at 4900 Cedar Grove Road, Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Friday, November 5 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be held at Maraman Billings Funeral Home at 605 S.
Preston Hwy Shepherdsville, Kentucky on Thursday, November 4 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
Wanda will be laid to rest at the Resthaven Memorial Park at 4400
Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Saturday, November 6 at
10 a.m.
