Wanda Lee Herron

Wanda Lee Herron 68, of Louisville passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at UofL Health-Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Wanda was fond of being outdoors, she tended a lovely flower garden, always taking time to stop and smell the roses. Wanda liked to try her luck gambling, wishing upon her charms and tokens, her favorite word to yell was “Bingo!”. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she decorated every corner of the house, selected meaningful gifts for loved ones, and delighted in the magic and excitement of Christmas morning. Wanda was an excellent cook, she spent hours preparing meals for her family to enjoy. Above all, Wanda enjoyed time spent with her family. She was an amazing partner, mother, grandmother, and sister, completely irreplaceable.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Geraldine Pilkerton; along with her brother Kenny Pilkerton.
Wanda is survived by her partner of 47 years, Michael Crane; daughters Pamela Herron, and Jeanetta Crane (Marlena Crane) both of Louisville; siblings Betty Howell (Little Man Howell) of Mt. Washington, Charles Pilkerton (Donna) of Indiana, Lester Pilkerton and Shelly Pilkerton both of Mt. Washington, and Mary Daughtery of Louisville; her grandchildren Mindy Hollon, James Stone (Stephanie), Brandon Stone, and Hailey Devers; along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Mark Veatch with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Maraman Billings Funeral Home on Monday 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
