Victor Joseph Catalano, of Masonic Home, KY passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

 Victor was a native of Clark, New Jersey, he attended Jonathan Dayton high school in Springfield, graduating in 1950. He went on attend Saint Peter’s college, a Jesuit school in Jersey City, graduating in 1954. Victor participated in the Pershing Rifle Society, a military oriented honor society for college students, company A-2. After completing college, Victor enlisted in the US Army, rising to rank of first lieutenant in the Chemical Corp, the 32nd Charlie Company. Victor met his wife of more than 66 years, Mary Philomena Pacchia, while bowling in Linden, NJ, they married in 1957. Together they welcomed daughter Carol while stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC and son Joseph after being honorably discharged from the Army and moving back to Clark, NJ. Victor was a born salesman, starting with a pharmaceutical company then found his passion in insurance, working for Prudential for the remainder of his career. In retirement, Victor and Mary moved to Bayville, NJ where he had a house overlooking the water, and spent countless hours out on the boat and aboard the Jetski. They enjoyed their retirement years surrounded by family and friends, always welcoming with opening arms and plenty of food. Victor and Mary eventually moved to Louisville, KY in 2018, residing at Masonic Homes of KY Assisted Living where both were loved dearly by the staff. Victor stayed active in his later years; he even took to the sky aboard a biplane on the Dream Flights 2024 Tour. Victor’s Dream Flight chartered June 10, 2024; he was 92 years of age. 

 Victor was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary who passed away in November 2023, along with his parents, Marie Sottilaro and Joseph Catalano, and sister Madeline Janowski.

 Victor is survived by his children Carol Pelosi and her husband Vincent of Milford, NJ and Joseph Catalano and his wife Rebecca of Louisville; grandchildren Vincent Pelosi III and his wife Anne Marie and Victoria DeChristopher and her husband Jay; great-grandchildren Cameron Pelosi, Logan Pelosi and Dominic DeChristopher; along with extended family, friends and Masonic Home neighbors. 

 A Graveside Service will take place 1:00 p.m. at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
