Vickie Lucille Edith Schmidt

 Vickie Lucille Edith Schmidt, 66 of Shepherdsville passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Norton Audubon Hospital with her daughters by her side.

 Vickie was a natural born caregiver, a retired labor and delivery nurse, she loved caring for babies, she welcomed new life into the world. She enjoyed trips to the beach with her toes in the sand and sun upon her face. Vickie was a football fan, always excited to watch a game, she also enjoyed watching cooking shows. Vickie kept a small circle of friends close to her heart; she knew it was not the number but the quality of friends. Vickie was very family oriented; her focus was placed upon her daughters and the relationship they shared. She was not only a mother but a best friend, a shoulder to cry on, a confidant, a support squad, a voice of reason, a truly remarkable being. She was so strong, a rock for her family, her memory will forever be cherished. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents George and Jackie Schmidt, siblings George R. Schmidt, Jr., Todd Schmidt and Cameron Schmidt, along with her grandson Jonah Bauman.

 Vickie is survived by her daughters Amanda Carrier (Mike) of Eastview, Ashley Walters, Amber Walters (Thomas) and Harleigh Lang all of Shepherdsville; grandchildren Emileigh Hobbs, Ally Pellman, Korey Bauman and Carlee Meador; along additional family and her few dear friends. 

 The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services.
