Vera "Christine" Walker

Vera “Christine” Walker 75 of Shepherdsville passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 peacefully with her family by her side.
Christine was born in Opelika, Alabama and grew up in Columbus, Georgia until Marvin Walker swept her off her feet and brought her to Louisville, Kentucky as his wife. She was known for her love of gardening and the color purple.
She was a member of Summit Hills Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #5710 and Red Hat Ladies.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Voncile Polk; her husband Marvin Thomas Walker, Sr.; her siblings Donald and Wayne Polk.
Christine is survived by her children Marvin Thomas Walker, Jr. (Rhonda) of Lawrenceville, GA and Tammy Krebs (Steve) of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren Eric Thomas Krebs, Samuel Adam Krebs (Sarah), Jessica Leigh Walker and Laura Beth Walker; her great-granddaughter Kindra Torres; her step sister Sandy Davis; along with several nieces and nephews and many family friends.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Vine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
