Troy was a Baptist by faith. He worked in the roofing industry. Troy was a man of the land, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lavonne Carey Britt.
Troy is survived by his father Don L. Britt; siblings Donnie Britt, Kevin Britt, Richard Britt and Nancy Span; his stepchildren Missy, Tammy and David; along with many other family members and friends.
