Steven Edward Monroe

Steven Edward Monroe, 60 of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
Steve was a Baptist by faith and attended Gospel of Truth. He preached for over half of his life and helped a lot of people. Brothers, sisters, friends, neighbors, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He loved to sing, especially gospel hymns and country music. Steve was a hard-working man that loved his family, his grand kids were what kept him going.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sarah Monroe; his daughter, Crystal Beth Monroe; his sister, Pamela Fair.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of over 37 years, Susan Monroe; his son Randy Monroe; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jeremiah, and Noah Monroe; his siblings, Charles Monroe Jr., Sandra Curtsinger, Patricia Johnson, Sharon Prater, Kathy (Bobby) Fox, and Lisa (Johnny) Welch.
Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Family Cemetery in Bee Springs, Kentucky, with a special thank you going out to Shawn and Joe Monroe for preparing the grave.
Visitations will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
