Shirley Ann Moore, born on August 25, 1947, in Waikiki, Hawaii, passed away peacefully at her home on February 13, 2025. She was a devoted spouse, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a friend to many.

Shirley was a retired forklift driver; she gained respect and admiration for her hard work and reliability. Her faith as a Catholic played a significant role in her life, guiding her through both challenges and celebrations.

Throughout her years, Shirley embraced a plethora of hobbies that reflected her vibrant spirit. She found joy in fishing and camping, often relishing the beauty of nature around her. A skilled pool player, she enjoyed friendly competitions among family and friends. Shirley had a passion for gardening, taking great pride in her flower garden, where she nurtured not only plants but also her love for feeding hummingbirds, creating a serene oasis in her front yard.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Calvin Moore, Jr., her son Gary Wayne Sample, alongside Dawn Hellums, her daughter, Leilani Marie Baunach, and her partner, James. She was a proud grandmother to Crystal Ann Cranmer, Jonna Cranmer, Miranda Nicole Sample, Joseph Murphy, Christina Murphy, Zane Edward Sample, Keyana Sample, Meagan Nicole Sample, Zachgary Wayne Sample, Cassandra Hodge and Ashlyn Hodge. Shirley's legacy continues with ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved cat Socks, who brought her much joy.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, John Edward Sample, and her daughter, Angela Christine Baunach. Their memories remain a cherished part of her life story.

Her family and friends will forever remember Shirley for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love. Her warm spirit and the moments shared will live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
