Scott Cecil Cundiff, 53 of Shepherdsville passed peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, March 6, 2022, after a very long fight.
He is preceded in death by his father Billy N. Cundiff; grandparents Cecil and Maudie Cundiff and Woodie and Lorene Tinnell.
Scott was born July 13, 1968, the youngest and most adventurous child to the late Billy Cundiff and surviving Elaine Cundiff. Scott was a lover of nature, sunsets, travel, hiking & caving. He enjoyed making new vegan recipes. He had a passion for learning and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1990 with a Marketing/Psychology degree. Scott enjoyed many different careers in his lifetime, but his heart was in mentoring and serving others.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Lisa, brother Greg (Lisa) and treasured fiancé Jennifer Hardin (they planned to be married in 2022), nephews and son Ryan and Jackson, nieces and daughter Kayla and Carly; a large loving family, prayer warriors, and his fur friends Ellie & Noel. Also cherishing his memory are his co-workers at Rue-Gilt (who he thought the world of), class of Bullitt Central-1986, his football friends from early childhood and his basketball team friends (that were like brothers to him).
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022, and Thursday March 10, 2022, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, and at Vine Hill Baptist Church on Friday, March 11, 2022 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. at Vine Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery.
We thank God for 53 wonderful, sweet, and amazing years with him. We love and will miss his huge smile, kind, and gentle manner. Leaving a hole in our hearts that will be forever broken, we will always love and miss you.
“ ….I am able to safely make a final-conclusion; the family that I have been blessed with on this rather brief journey we call life, is truly the greatest and most significant factors in who I am and how I have lived my life. Although the effects of time and space have no doubt been detractors in the telling of this story, my mind is vividly clear, free of speculation and after thought….. I am one of the lucky ones.” – Scott March 2021.
