Samuel Ray Leach

Samuel Ray Leach 26, of Shepherdsville passed away suddenly Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Sam was a Christian by faith. He enjoyed working with computers, being outdoors, camping, hiking, animals and motorcycles.
Sam was preceded in death by his grandfather N. Harold Leach and his aunt Michelle Peacock.
Sam is survived by his parents Laura Van Vactor (Tommy) of Shepherdsville, Samuel Leach of Shepherdsville and Terri Leach of Louisville; his siblings Hailey Peacock, Sierra Ailes, Jordan Ailes, Matthew White, Michael Woods, Zohra Messis, Nikki Dotson, Megan Dotson, Emily Wise, Erin Capps and Noah Van Vactor; his grandparents Linda Leach of Shepherdsville and Joseph and Diane Woods of Shepherdsville, grandmother Mary Jane Van Vactor; along with his uncles Sam “Too” Byard and Gabe Van Vactor; aunts Monica Gromadzki–Rusch and Latisha Waters.
A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home.
Sam regularly contributed to those who did not have. In his memory we want to carry on the tradition of helping those in need. Instead of sending flowers or monetary donations, we are asking that you bring a new blanket for us to give to the homeless and those less fortunate. The blanket can be any size, shape or color. You are also welcome to donate blankets in Sam’s name in your local community.
