Robert Ivan Weir, 85 passed away on Saturday March 6, 2021 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Bullitt County, a retired employee of Louisville Gas and Electric and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon H. and Hazel D. Weird, two sons Ronnie and Bobby Weir and a brother Vernon Weird, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Delma J. Weir, his daughters Della Faith (Bill) of Taylorsville, Rose Mary Kiesler (Joe) of Shepherdsville and Dana Horrell (Vince) of Louisville, his sister Charlotte Catron of Shepherdsville, his grandchildren LeAnna Porter, Misty McCubbins, Ronnie Heath, Cody Stivers, Dalton Stivers and Savannah Stivers, his great grandchildren Taylor Porter, Aiden Porter, Lindsay McCubbins, Alison McCubbins, Zoe Heath and Eli Heath.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Eden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. till time of the service.
