Robert Leroy Weber, Sr., a dedicated father, passed away on March 7, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin County, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. Born on June 7, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky, Robert lived a life marked by commitment to both his family and his career as a worker at General Electric.
In addition to his professional contributions, Robert proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard, an experience that underscored his dedication and sense of duty. A man of faith, he identified as Catholic and instilled the values of respect and compassion in all those who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Susan Renfrow of Lebanon Junction, Robert Weber, Jr. (Ollie) of Louisville, Linda Dishon (Mike) of Louisville, Joe Weber (John) of Irvington, Ginny Lee (C.W.) of Lebanon Junction, Billy Smith (Rayetta) of Lebanon Junction, and Wayne Smith (Nina) of Shepherdsville, each of whom carry on his legacy and share fond memories of their father and several grandchildren and great grandchildren..
Robert is predeceased by his beloved wives Etta Mae Weber and Ellen Mae Weber, as well as his parents, Joseph and Teresa Weber. He was also preceded in death by his children, Tommy Smith and Sue Ellen Edmonds, who will forever hold a special place in their family's heart his significant other, Dorothy Langham.
The celebration of Robert's life will take place at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Visitation will begin on March 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and continue on March 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will commence on March 11 at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
