Robert " BRUCE" Bergmann 69 of Louisville suffered a sudden and fatal cardiac arrest on Wednesday, September. 15, 2021 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley H. and Carolyn Schoeffler Bergmann.
He was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, a member of Highland Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran.
Bruce was a U of L Basketball fan, avid dog lover and a free spirit who loved life. He was a very upbeat person who always did what he wanted, rather than what everyone else expected of him. He was well read and a walking encyclopedia. He loved talking and having very intelligent and deep conversations. He was a very generous person who showed up every holiday with bags full of presents no matter his situation. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and great uncle. He is survived by his sisters Elisabeth “Cissy” Petersen and Susan Bergmann Ice both of Louisville and his nieces Natalie Hall (John) and Jessica Centeno (Brad) and several great nieces and nephews.
Maraman Billings Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements where the family chose cremation. A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
