Robert Anderson Barton, 49 of Louisville passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at University of Louisville Hospital.
Robert was known by many as “Peanut”, he lived true to the motto “live life to the fullest”. Robert was a mechanic, he enjoyed the challenge of working on all makes and models, and even pieced together complete cars. Robert loved and took great pride in his son Dwight Lee. Robert had numerous friends and family, he was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Wylee Anderson Walters and Anna Savage Walters; along with his brother Richard Barton.
Robert is survived by his son Dwight Lee Sr. (Michelle) of Shepherdsville; grandchildren Isabella, Karina, and Dwight Jr.; siblings Barbara King (Mike) and Darrell Barton both of Louisville; nieces and nephews James Barton, Keena Pugh (Ted), Mary Pugh (Christopher), Michael Barton (Carla), Melissa Sulleiman, Wendell Barton (Amanda) and Jessica Ndiaye (Dale).
The family of Mr. Barton has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services.
