Richard Thomas Mudd

Richard Thomas Mudd, 57 of Shepherdsville passed away at his home Wednesday, August 23, 2023, with his family by his side.
He worked in construction and when he got home he could be found working in his garage. Richard was a figure 8 racer at Louisville Motor Speedway, he continually modified his cars. He was always active, and, on the go, he loved browsing local flea markets and auctions. He enjoyed fishing, watching WWE Wrestling and Duck Dynasty. He was an animal lover; he was especially fond of his dogs. Richard was a loving husband, he and wife Debra were married in 1999, and spent more than 27 happy years together, they raised a family and enjoyed moments spent watching their grandchildren and great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Hallie Mae Mudd; along with his son Roy A. Glidewell III.
Richard is survived by his wife Debra Mudd; his children Randall L. Glidewell (Virginia) of Louisville, Richard C. Mudd of Mt. Washington, and Kristan N. Mudd (Jacques) of Paris, KY; his grandchildren Caitlin Ferguson (Luke), Lauren Glidewell, Ellie Mudd and Jada Nemeth; great-grandson Mason Thomas Ferguson; along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. Burial to follow Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Resthaven Cemetery
Visitation will be Wednesday 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
