Richard Joseph Meek, Sr.

 Richard Joseph Meek, 76 of Lebanon Junction passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, surrounded by family in the comfort of his home. 

 Richard was a Baptist by faith and a member of Independent Baptist Church. Richard was an over the road truck driver, he traveled across the country wheelin’ and dealin’. He was known as the “Goat’ across the CB radio channels. Richard had an edgy sense of humor, he enjoyed telling jokes and cutting up, he often laughed at himself, anything to make another smile. Richard enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He found solace at his home surrounded by open fields, nature and most importantly the love shared amongst family. Richard liked to keep things simple, he was content with the possessions he had and knew that with the love of his family, he was blessed beyond measure. His smile and hearty laugh will be dearly missed. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents Bessie Morris and Charles Meek.

 Richard is survived by his loving wife Sandra Meek; children Michelle Meek-Vittitoe (Will), Christal Meek and Richard (Buck) Meek (Charlotte); siblings Charles Meek, Dennis Meek, Lisa Whitely and Lora Hughes; grandchildren Cody Gentry, Taylor Whobrey (Michael, Silas Meek and Larrisa Tompkins; great-grandchildren Macie and Elam Gentry, and Asta Whobrey; along with extended family and friends. 

 The family has entrusted Maraman Billings with cremation services.
