Philip Wayne Snawder, 81 of Shepherdsville passed away Thursday February 1, 2024, at Tender Touch Heart and Home.
Philip grew up on Knob Creek Road, where he resided the entirety of his life, in that home, he started a family with his beloved wife of 61 years, Wanda Diane Snawder (Sheeley), they raised two sons, Steve and Tim. Philip worked as a laborer at Stimpson Scale Company, Gambel Brothers and LanTech, providing a comfortable life for his family. Philip was a prankster, he enjoyed making others laugh with his antics and now priceless stories. He was an avid sports fan- Kentucky Wildcats being his favorite college basketball team, and he had a love for baseball being a Dodger fan. Although nothing compares to his love of God the Father and Jesus Christ. His wife and sons can attest that he instilled that above things, keep your eyes on Christ! As his sons always state, he kept a roof over our head, food on the table, taught us right from wrong, gave us a work ethic and loved us unconditionally. It is with sorrow that we say goodbye to Philip, but we are assured that he is present with God. He is now in his eternal home!
He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Pauline Snawder and brother Clifford Snawder.
He is survived by his loving wife Wanda Diane Snawder; sons Steve (Kara) and Tim (Rob); grandchildren Tami, Spencer, Samantha, and Ethan; great-grandchildren Skyler, Jolene and Novaleigh; siblings Junior and Danny Snawder, Wilma Mann (Darvin), Betty Abell (Joe), and sister-in-law Sandra (Sue) Snawder; along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. E.J. Lanham officiating.
Visitation will be Friday 3 – 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
