Patty Lou Mayfield

Patty Lou Mayfield, 92 of Louisville passed away Wednesday,
December 20, 2023, at Clifton Oaks Care Center.
Patty was a retired nurse; she dedicated her life to caring for others in need. She was very charitable with her time and resources, she raised a lot of funds for her favorite nonprofit, the Home of the Innocence. Patty was a devoted member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles for more than 50 years, she proudly served as Grand Madam President of the Women’s Order of Eagles Auxiliary Club.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Merrill, her second husband Ray Matfield; parents Ruby Foust and William Craig; her 7 sisters; along with her children Sharyl Merrill and Thelma Farquhar.
Patty is survived by her children Patricia Johnson, Kenneth Merrill (Leslie), Susan Cunningham (Mark), and Scott Mayfield; her brothers Richard Craig and William Craig; 14 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; along with additional family members and numerous friends. Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Nada Easley presiding over the service.
Visitations will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
