Pamela G. Phelps, 63 of Shepherdsville passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at UofL Hospital with her family by her side.
She was a Christian by faith and a member at Ray of Hope Christian Fellowship. Pamela was a recently retired labor & delivery nurse; she welcomed life into this world for more than 25 years. Pamela was a planner and bargain shopper. She was always on the hunt for items she could add to her stock of baby supplies, along with toys, gifts, and clothing for the grandkids. She made baskets of clothing, diapers, and necessity items that she gave to babies in need. She had a truly genuine and selfless heart. Pamela was particular about the upkeep of her home, creating a welcoming space as a wonderful host. She always had everyone’s “favorites” readily available. She hosted hot cocoa parties for the kids, adding in the magic of sprinkles, mess, laughs, and love. She was their Grandma Yetta, a wonderful woman with a grand sense of humor and unending love. Warm and inviting, Pam went over the top to make the holidays and get togethers a special time to remember. She enjoyed family vacations to their favorite destination in Maine. She cherished time spent with those she loved, together they created memories to last a lifetime. She will be dearly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joyce Antes and Thomas Huff.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of more than 41 years, David Phelps; children Miriam Melendez (Joseph), Melissa McConkey (Samuel), Rosie Bohn (Zachary) and David Phelps III; her siblings Kathy Simmons, Cindy Dashley, Thomas Huff, Jr. (Jean), Bryant Coots (Vicki), Brent Coots (Chandra) and Matt Huff (Samantha); grandchildren Lily and Arthur Melendez, Lewis and Miel McConkey, Athena Bohn, and baby boy McConkey due in May; her stepmother Debra Huff, mother-in-law Esther “Nanny” Phelps; along with Bill and Beth Blair, Krista Toth and family, William Blair and family, Kayla Toth and family, Kimberly Blair and fiancé, her beloved dogs Mishka, Ziva, and Alastor; along with extend family and numerous friends.
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services and will be hosting a Memorial Service in Pam’s honor. Memorial Service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Ray of Hope Christian Fellowship, 384 Raymond Rd. Shepherdsville, KY 41065.
