Neva Kalwat Milam, 78, of Shepherdsville, went home to the Lord on Wednesday September 17. She was born November 7, 1935 in Sioux Falls, SD. Neva was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jimmie H. Milam and her brother Wayne Kalwat. She is survived by her children: Steve Milam (Donna); Todd Milam (Neysa); Trudy Milam Talbott (Steve); grandchildren: Cortney Milam Burden (J.T.); Brooke Milam; Angi Sohm (Steve); Tim McKinney (Anita); Brent McKinney (April); and Jim Bowles. She also boasted ten great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends. Neva was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, American Legion Post 157 Auxiliary, Kentucky Fur Takers, and a retiree from Publisher’s Printing. Her family wishes to express deep appreciation to all who helped care for her and invite everyone whose life she touched to pay their respects at Maraman-Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm Friday, 10am-8pm Saturday, and 10am-1:30pm Sunday. Service will be held at Eastside Baptist Church on Sunday at 2pm with burial following at Hebron Cemetery. Anyone wishing to honor her memory may donate to the Crusade For Children or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
