Monique enjoyed the beauty of nature and enjoyed collecting rocks. She treasured time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Monique is preceded in death by her parents Ingrid Starr and Linn Sydney Washburn.
Monique is survived by her loving husband Douglas Hawkins; her children Elizabeth Mays of Leitchfield, and James Washburn of Louisville; her siblings Louisa and Gustavo; 3 grandchildren along with many other family members and friends.
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings with cremation, a private family gathering is to held at a later date
