Michael Shane Newsome, 57 of Shepherdsville passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
Michael loved life, enjoyed music, the outdoors and playing poker. He was a member of MDA and when he was a child was the poster child for MDA.
He was preceded death by his father Gobel Newsome, Sr.
He is survived by his daughter Shana Martin and her husband Matthew of Louisville, his mother Judy Newsome of Shepherdsville, his brothers Goble Newsome, Jr. and his wife Kim, Brian Phillip Newsome, Paul Newsome and his wife Britney all of Shepherdsville and Jerry Newsome of Thomasville, NC, his grandchildren Brayden Rice, Ann Marie Rice and Carson Martin.
A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Visitation will be on Saturday from noon – 3 p.m.
