Michael Lee Franklin, 62 of Shepherdsville passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was a retired supervisor with Stone Container, a member of the Church of Our Savior and a native of Louisville, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Franklin, his parents Olen Haskel and Mary Louise Franklin, his sisters Sandra Tuttle, Shirley McCubbins and Tina Marie Franklin.
He is survived by his children Dana Elkins (David) of Radcliff, Vickey Crum of Louisville and Russell Gibbs (Milagros) of Corpus Christi, TX, his siblings Olen Franklin (Jackie) of Owensboro, Donna Hickerson (Howard), Karen Franklin, Beverly Scalf (Vestel), Lisa Moon (Elmer), Tammy Taylor (Billy), Mari Scalf (Richard) all of Louisville and Angela Willingham (Buddy) of Greensburg, his grandchildren Devin Elkins, Erin Mitchell, Megan Bast, Clint and Cheyenne Gibbs, Destiny Young and Lamont Roberts, his great grandchildren Scarlet and Sayde Bast and Gracie Gibbs.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. till time of service on Monday.
