Meme Shehata Hanna, 83, of Louisville, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Carmel Manor in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. A retired accountant and tax preparer, he owned and operated MSJ Hanna, Inc. for more than 25 years. He was a faithful member of Evangel World Prayer Center and a member of the True Blues retiree group. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Meme immigrated to the United States as a young man and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1974. He called Louisville his home for nearly 50 years.
Meme was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Sanaa Hanna, and his eldest brother, Raafat Hanna. He is lovingly survived by his daughter and her husband, Joanna and Jared Goldie of Florence, KY; his brother, Samir Hanna (Afaf), of Charlotte, NC; his sister, Mary Wissa, of Charlotte, NC; his brother Frank Fayek (Hala) of Toronto, Ontario; and his sister, Manal Nessim (Maged) of Sydney, Australia; and his grandchildren Phoebe, Hannah, and Lydia Goldie, along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 2nd at Evangel (6900 Billtown Rd.) with Dr. Bob Rodgers officiating. Burial to follow at Crosswater Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, April 1st at the church from 5-8 pm.
