Melissa Iola Carey

Melissa Iola Carey, 35 of Louisville passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Norton Audubon Hospital with her family by her side.
She was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center. She enjoyed playing cards, horseback riding, fishing, hunting and singing.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Paul Walters; her grandparents Frankie Johnson, Iola Walters and Sylvester Walters.
Melissa is survived by her husband George Carey; her mother Deborah Lucas and step-father of 31 years Steve Lucas; her children Sabrina Lee Carey and Christopher Paul Wayne Carey; her siblings Charles Jones (Penny) of Pasadena, CA, Armando Ramirez (Missy) of Taylorsville, Robert Ramirez of Louisville, Matthew Walters (Valerie) of Shepherdsville, Rachelle Leonard (Raymond) of Louisville, David Walters (Sam) of Louisville; along with many other family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Pastor Reva Casey officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitations will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
