Mary Lou Ray, 77 of Shepherdsville passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center, with her family by her side.
She was a Baptist by faith, and a caregiver by trade, she placed the needs of others above her own. She could find happiness and joy in any circumstance, always finding the good and bringing out the best qualities in others. Mary was super independent by nature, she had a great sense of humor, and loved to dance. She was compassionate, supportive, and encouraging; an all-around amazing mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Carrie Graham; siblings Henry Graham, Elbert Graham, Jesse Graham, Robert Graham, Agnes Lee, Alberta Booth and Linda Young; brother-in-law Horace Ray; along with her grandson Michael “Brandon” Ray.
Mary is survived by her children Michael W. Ray (Missy), Don T. Ray (Dawn), Lonny E. Ray (Christy), Allen D. Ray (Tabitha), and Malinda Crabtree (Andy); siblings Donald Graham (Sue), and Betty Sue Ray; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, with 2 great-grandchildren on the way; along with many additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitations will be Sunday 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
