Leonard Ray Thompson 72 of Shepherdsville passed away on Saturday June 23, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a native of Bullitt County, a retired truck driver with Tradewinds Trucking Company and a honorable veteran of the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Thelma Thompson, a son Teddy Thompson, his siblings Mary McCubbins, Farrell, Justin, Randy, Donald Russell, Charles, Charlene, Olivia and Priscilla Thompson.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Earleen Thompson of Shepherdsville, his children Danny Thompson of Shepherdsville, Karen Redding (Mark) of Shepherdsville, Troy Thompson of Falmouth, KY and Cyndi Jones (Dexter) of Shepherdsville, his siblings Loretta Morris, Debbie Jett both of Shepherdsville, Valerie Brown of Bardstown, Maynard Thompson, Dennis Thompson both of Shepherdsville, Joe and Eric Thompson both of Raleigh, NC, his grandchildren Chris, Candice, Derik, Kayla, Lauren, Megan, T.J., Candice, Noah, Victoria, Dakota, Dalton, Odessa and Clarissa and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Crenshaw officiating at Maraman Billings Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11- 8 p.m and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
