Lawrence “Larry” Anthony Pesetski, 73 of Hodgenville, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at UofL Health Jewish Hospital with his daughters by his side.
Larry was a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, over the course of his career in the military, he spent time residing in Texas, Hawaii, and Germany. He served in the United States Army, earning several accommodations including a national defense medal, overseas service ribbon, expeditionary medal (Korea) and a meritorious service medal. Larry also retired from Dana Corporation, where he manufactured auto parts. Larry was a devoted father of 4 girls that surely tested his patience, but no matter the circumstance, he was always kind, supportive and loving. He was hard-headed, stubborn, and willful but despite that, he was selfless, and giving. He would go without to ensure others had what they needed. Larry never sat still, he enjoyed bowling and fishing and adventures with his faithful furry companion Lucky. He cherished visits from his grandchildren and loved spending time with family.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Eleanor Pesetski; along with his brother Jerry Pesetski.
He is survived by his daughters Traci Muss (Troy), Ammie Summitt (Chris), Debra Skulas (Matt) and Tina Pesetski; sister Terri Babbitt (Ron); his grandchildren Michael Allen, Kriztina Leyk, Stephanie Wyatt, Katelyn Torres, Candice Muss. Michael Summitt, Courtney Summitt, Mitchel Skulas, Jacob Skulas, and Austin Blackburn; along with 8 great-grandchildren; his fiancé Linda Conner and her children Tammy Johnson (Andy), Glenn Spalding (Juanita) and Tweaty Simpson (Bobby); along with 10 grandchildren.
The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life to take place 4-8p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Wingfield Inn & Suites, 1043 Executive Drive in Elizabethtown.
