Larry Edward Oney, 74 of Shepherdsville, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Norton Audubon Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a Baptist by faith and proudly served his county for over 30 years as a Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard. Larry was an amazing and wonderful father. His unconditional love offered a safe place for his family; they knew they could rely on him no matter what. He loved working in his woodshop, cutting the grass and playing golf with his brother James. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Reece and Rose Oney and his siblings James Oney, Beth Boyle, Bill Oney, and Reece Oney.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 32 years Jean Oney; his children Kelly Hill, Robert Craig Hill, Laura DiMaria and Jennifer Newland (Josh); his siblings Deke Oney, Rita Griser and Jerry Oney (Anita); along with his grandchildren Michael Oney, Emily DiMaria, Sarah Holderman, Roselia Bowling, and Jake Holderman and one great-grandchild Violet Oney.
A private visitation will be held for family followed by a private inurnment at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central which will be held at a later date.
