Kimberly Diane Walls

October 10, 1962 — December 10, 2020

Kimberly Diane Walls, age 58, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Signature Healthcare North Hardin in Radcliff, KY from complications of Covid-19.
Kimberly was born in Louisville, KY on Wednesday, October 10, 1962. She was raised and attended school in Shepherdsville, alter moving to Glendale KY. She enjoyed scrap-booking, fashion, dining out and shopping with her friends. In 2005 she met her long-time partner Mike, together they visited Florida, the Smoky Mountains, Hawaii and St. Lucia. Further travel plans were interrupted by a devastating stroke in 2009 that limited her ability to speak, hear, see and her mobility. Kim’s sheer determination and strength allowed her to persevere and have a fulfilling life with mike, enjoying weekend excursions and never giving up her passion for shopping. She was known around the neighborhood for going on long walks in her power chair with her loyal little Schnauzer Rusty beside her. She would always engage with the small children in the neighborhood and enjoyed seeing the deer and turkeys on her walks, even assigning them names. Kim was compassionate and understanding of others who may have limitations as well and went out of her way to compliment and make them feel accepted. She was kind, gentle and caring. One of her big interest was stroke awareness and survivor groups, she made friends around the globe. Their continual support and encouragement helped Kim expand her horizons and understanding of the World. She loved and inspired many and will be greatly missed
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father George Walls.
She leaves to cherish her memory her significant other Charles “Mike” Surgenor of Glendale, KY; mother Linda Riggs of Georgetown, IN; children Justin Smith (Jessie) of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Katye Meredith of Bowling Green, KY; siblings Cyndi Riggs and Floyd Walls both of Elizabethtown, Kirk Walls and Cathy Leach both of Georgetown, IN; Pam Peel (Greg) of Cecilia, KY; Josh Walls of Bonnieville, KY; half siblings Brittany Nunn (Dwayne) and Ester Walls; her grandchildren Liam and Everly Bell, many nieces and nephews, her dog Rusty and Tom the Cat.
