Kelly Varney

Kelly Varney 79, of Shepherdsville passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
He was a former maintenance man of the Bullitt County Jail for many years. He was a avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Varney; his parents Leonard and Maggie Varney; his son Timothy Varney and siblings Bobby Varney, Aliene Lockard, Mary Lockard, Ida Mae Ernest, Frieda May and Connie Trout.
Kelly is survived his children Tammy Hatfield (Danny) of Gilbert, WV, Todd Varney (Bonnie) of Nashville, TN and step children Debora Wheatley, Terry Stayton and Patrick Stayton; his siblings Cecil Varney of McVeigh, KY, Ronald Varney of Pennsylvania, Donald Varney of Sidney, KY, Eloise Mills of Hardy, KY and Thomas Varney of Celina, OH; his grandchildren Eddy Simpkins, Franki Nicole Hatfield, Ryan Haycraft, Logan Varney, Thomas Stayton, Tara Scott, Nathaniel Stayton, Natalie Stayton, Kruz Stayton, Tyler Wheatley and Zane Wheatley; along with 3 great grandchildren Emily, Matthew Stayton and Izabella Simpkins.
Funeral Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be Thursday 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
