Joyce Lou Thompson

Joyce Lou Thompson 80, of McDaniels, KY went home to her heavenly father Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Joyce placed her faith in God within Full Gospel teachings, she attended services at Bethel Ministries, where she often donated her time volunteering and helping others. She enjoyed the challenge of working puzzles. She liked to feed the horses on the family farm. Joyce cherished time spent with family, holiday meals and cookouts surrounded by those she loved. Joyce placed faith and family above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents Malvin and Essie Holland.
Joyce is survived by her children Lucinda Thompson of McDaniels, Tammy Ploof and Kenny Thompson both of Shepherdsville; her siblings Jackie Holland (Barbara) of Hartford, Joe Holland (Martha) of Berea, Gilda Cook (Clinton) and Sue Holland-Basham both of Mt. Washington, and Anita Holland-Gibson (Tommy) of Macon, GA; her grandchildren Michael Cadreau (Jodie), Angela Castleman (Richard), Cody Cadreau (Anita), Tonya Rumbaugh, Jessica Holland, and Vana Sanchez (Carlos); along with 13 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren
Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Cadreau officiating. Cremation is to follow.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2:30 p.m. until time of service.
