Joseph Vorheese Raley

June 28, 1921 — December 18, 2016

Joseph V. Raley, 95 of Shepherdsville passed away on Sunday December 18, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
He was an Army veteran of WWII, a native of Belmont and a farmer. Joe was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW 5710, Soil Conversation District, Farm Bureau where he was the past president and enjoyed the Waffle House.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Joseph and Ann Raley, a son Joseph Allen Raley and his siblings Marietta Howard and Jack Raley.
He is survived his wife of 61 years Peggy Boone Raley, his children Judy Crigler (Don), Jerry Raley (Lisa), John Raley, Janice Amy Johns (Roger), Jennifer Curtsinger (Lee), Jeff Raley (Stephanie) and Jason Raley (Christie) all of Bullitt County, a daughter in law Penny Raley, 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from Noon – 8 p.m. and from 9 – 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
