John Joseph Powell

John Joseph Powell 73, of Shepherdsville passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at Jewish Medical Center South.
He was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center. He was a Republican, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a hard worker. He truly loved serving the Lord and was loved by everyone.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Clarence Ray Sr., and Ana Mae Powell.
John is survived by his wife Carole Powell; his children Debbie Schindler of Palmyra IN, John Joseph Powell Jr., (Mandi), Darrin Scott Powell (Deidre) of Pioneer Village, Mark W. Moore (Josephine) of Louisville, Lori Sue Reed of Louisville and Neal Howard Powell (Deana) of Mt. Washington; his siblings Jan Painter of Okolona, Clarence Ray Powell Jr., of Georgetown IN, Kevin L. Powell of Louisville; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; along with Phoebe the dog and his kitties.
Funeral Service will be Noon Friday at Evangel World Prayer Center Minors Lane Louisville. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1-7 p.m. at the church and 9 a.m. Friday until time of service.
