Joan Rachelle Thompson, 65 of Shepherdsville passed away on Friday March 16, 2012 at her home.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a retired lunchroom worker and teacher's aid with the Bullitt County Board of Education.
She is survived by her sons Joe (Carrie), Jim (Amanda) of Alpine, TX, John (Marti) of Atlanta, GA, Barry (Alesa) and David Thompson of Metairie, LA, her siblings Butch and Joe Beisler, Jackie Risdale, Joyce and Jaye Lavelle and Jan Connelly and her grandchildren Cierra, Will, Christopher, Owen, Gus, McKenzie, Gracie, Scotty, Samantha, Tyler, Justin, Marcus, Daniel, Elizabeth, Kaleb and Levi.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at Maraman Billings Funeral Home on Monday from 1-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
