Jesse Dave “Jazz” Evans Jr. 50, of Louisville passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 with his beloved daughter Triniti Evans & her mother Kathy Luttrell by his side.
He was a 1985 graduate of Fern Creek High School where he played football. He went on to play at Georgetown and Kentucky where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree. He then played several years alongside some great teammates and friends from 1996-1999 for the Louisville Bulls as #28. In 2011 he began coaching and worked as a instructor for Atherton High School and was proud of all his students and players past and present.
He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Dave Evans Sr. and mother Evelyn Guest Evans.
He is survived by his beautiful daughter Triniti Elise Evans and two wonderful sons Jesse Dave Evans III and Remi Wayne Evans; along with a lifelong friend Tony Murrell and his family, daughter Khatrice, 2nd mom Margaret Furman and Gerri, Rodney, Brandon and Bria Moore; along with many other family members and friends.
His wishes of a memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at West End Baptist Church at 1400 S. 4th Street Louisville. With a celebration of life to follow at 5:00 p.m. at Bearno’s Pizza in Fern Creek at 10212 Taylorsville Road Louisville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Atherton High School Athletics Program in Jesse’s name.
