Jeffrey "Jeff" Allen Castro

July 14, 1976 — November 30, 2024

Munfordville

Jeffrey "Jeff" Allen Castro, 48, of Munfordville passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Medical Center Caverna in Horse Cave KY.

Jeff worked as a maintenance machinist for Reynolds Consumer Products, he was a hard worker on the job and after punching out, he happily put in work at home on the family farm. Jeff and his wife Crystal labored and saved to build their dream home, a farm full of animals and land to explore. He loved being outdoors, raising animals, growing plants and gardens, watching nature and hummingbirds buzz by. Jeff was quick to create a list of farms chores and itinerary of things to accomplish daily. He was fun spirited and liked to provoke a reaction, his jokes and jabs were all done in fun, he was kindhearted and generous, willing to give the shirt off his back. Jeff was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly passed his knowledge of caring for animals down to his son Jonathan, and together they raised pigs, a tradition Jonathan plans to continue. Jeff was proud and rewarding of a job well done. He and his son Jeffrey shared the tradition of picking up his favorite orange cream soda every week in exchange for good behavior and grades at school. A soda may seem insignificant but it is just a glimpse of the man that Jeff was; it was his devotion to his family, sharing the knowledge and heritage of the family farm, remembering the details, everyone's favorite drink and snack, important dates and life accomplishments,- he was there, he was present, his family and the traditions they created meant the world to him and in return, Jeff was their whole world, and they are devastated.

He was preceded in death by his parents Samual Castro and Lana Spencer.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Crystal Castro, sons Jeffrey Tyler Castro (Brittani) of Hillview and Jonathan Allen Castro of Munfordville, daughter Heather Hardy of Rogers, AK; grandchildren James and Skylar Hardy; stepfather Ramon Michael "Mike" Spencer; along with extended family members and friends.
