Janice Darlene Groeppe

Janice Darlene Groeppe, 65, of Louisville passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her home.

 She was Pentecostal by faith, she rejoiced in sharing the Lord with everyone she encountered. Janice held membership at Glory & Fire Worship Center and Evangel World Prayer Center. She held a sincere and pure devotion to Christ, she took sermon notes, studied the scripture, translating her interpretation and writing books of scripture daily. She was active in Bible studies as well as senior activities held at Evangel. She loved working the prayer line each week. Janice was well known, she never met a stranger, she welcomed everyone with open arms. Janice kept a positive outlook on life, always optimistic she joyfully exclaimed to all that she was “blessed & highly favored” in all aspects. She was thankful for all the blessings God provided her. Janice loved the color purple; she often wore baseball caps and shirts with scriptures. Janice was a dear friend to so many, her smile, outlook and devotion will be missed. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ruth Groeppe. 

 Janice is survived by her brother Kenneth Groeppe and his wife Gen of Waltham, MA; along with her church family and friends of which she had created lifelong bonds. 

 Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Evangel World Prayer Center with Pastor Kevin McKnight officiating and vocals performed by Cynthia Kinnard. Burial will follow in Crosswater Gardens Cemetery. 

 Visitation will be held at Evangel on Thursday 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
