Janette Diane Miles

Janette Diane Miles, 76 of Shepherdsville passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
She was a Methodist by faith and attended services at Cedar Grove Methodist. Janette retired from University OB/GYN Associates, where she served as a medical assistant. She was passionate about her work, always compassionate, she was a natural caregiver. Janette was proud of her home, she enjoyed entertaining and delighted in having friends and family over to visit. Janette found peace and reward in raising a garden, beautiful flowers for all to enjoy.
She enjoyed being outdoors, watching the birds at the feeder, the bees buzzing around her flowers and hummingbirds zooming by, she surrounded herself with the beauty of nature. Janette loved going to the stable and riding her horses along the trails, she wished to be able to saddle up and ride once again. Janette was spunky and kind, always considerate of others. She was a remarkable woman that will be remembered with integrity and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Miles; her parents Durward and Bessie Mumford; her brother-in-law Jim Terry; along with her former love, William Ray.
Janette is survived by her children Brenda Miller, and James Miles (Pam) both of Shepherdsville; siblings Gerald Mumford (Peggy), Patricia Terry, and Sandra Brown (Neil) all of Louisville; her grandchildren, Misti Hope, Ashley Marie (Logan), Shelby Lynn (Brent), Matthew David, and Jesse Earl and 13 great-grandchildren; along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. A private burial will take place in Cedar Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2023, 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
