Janet Nielens Hawkins

Janet Nielens Hawkins, 74 of Bullitt County, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at University of Louisville Hospital with her family by her side.
Janet was born in Cold Water, Michigan. Her family moved to Florida, where she grew up, and before moving to Kentucky she resided in Fairhope, Alabama for over 28 years. She loved the beach, fishing, swimming, and anything that involved traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bobby” Hawkins; her parents Joseph and Eileen Miller; her sister Joan Humm.
Janet is survived by her children Kymberly A. Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Christopher D. Hopkins and William Wayne Hopkins; her sisters Earleen Thompson and Barbara Thompson (Dennis); along with 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.
Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
