On March 1, 2017, Jane Margaret Blady Maraman, 59, of Shepherdsville, KY entered into eternal life. She was born November 26, 1957 in Louisville, KY to Joseph L. and Cynthia Dolores Blady.
She was beautiful inside and out, an avid gardener with a green thumb who loved hummingbirds and every kind of flower. She loved sunshine, the beach, and summer. She hated snow, but loved how it sparkled. Jane had a goofy sense of humor and taught her son and daughter to find joy in the little things. Besides her talents with plants, she was also an excellent decorator, loved antiques, loved people, and was amazing with babies and kids. She taught Cristalle and Davy not only to read and write, but to appreciate nature and all its treasures. She was a great example of how to see the world for all its beauty and to stand in awe of its wonder. She could identify any bird, tree, flower, or plant. Jane loved collecting rocks and fossils and enjoyed walking our creek to find more treasures. She loved animals, and strays seemed to know this and seek her out. She lovingly cared for all of them. She especially loved her beloved dog Presley who was waiting for her in Heaven to take one of their long walks. Jane loved to give gifts, and always cared for others, putting them before herself. She was a devoted wife for nearly 38 years to David and loved her children Cristalle and Davy with everything she had. They are so grateful God chose her to be their Mom.
Jane had an amazing smile, a wonderful laugh, and an ever-present positive attitude. She bravely fought pancreatic cancer keeping that smile and her humor throughout.
Jane is survived by David H. Maraman, her husband of almost 38 years; her daughter Cristalle Maraman Vivona (Adam); her son David L. Maraman (Alysia), her mother Cynthia Dolores Blady of Loretto, KY; and many other family members and friends whom she loved and cherished dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Louis Blady of Louisville, KY.
Jane asked that there be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Maraman Farm Cemetery to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Kentucky Humane Society or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
