Korfhage, James "Jim" David passed away at the Masonic Home of Louisville on Sunday morning, November 6, 2011, surrounded by family.
He was born April 20, 1923, to H. Albert & Violet Levy (Alford) Korfhage. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Albert, Frank, William, Paul, Harry and Quentin; sisters, Violet and Louisa.
Jim was a retired farmer from Shepherdsville, KY, a charter member of Bethany United Church of Christ and Past Master of Bullitt Lodge #155.
Survived by loving wife of 56 years, the former Doris Ann Koller; daughter, Sharon Lynn Bernardi (Kenneth Gregory, Jr.); son, James D. "J.D." Korfhage, Jr. of White House, TN; sisters, Harriet A. Korfhage and Lillian May McCrea (Woodrow) of Alma, GA; and 4 beloved grandchildren, Dora Lynn Bernardi of Lexington, K. Steven Bernardi, James Michael Korfhage of White House, TN and Matthew Eric Korfhage of Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jims' name to Hosparus or Bethany United Church of Christ.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 1-8:00 p.m. and after Noon Wednesday.
