James Rogers

James Rogers 84, of Shepherdsville passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
He was a Baptist by faith and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge #155, The Scottish Rites and a life long Kentucky Wildcat fan.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Alice Rogers; his parents Albert and Carrie Rogers; his siblings Corine Eldridge, Nellie Patton, Emma Rogers, Onie Davis and Thelma Patton.
He is survived by his children Verna "Dyann" Akers (Jeff) of Benton KY and James Edward "Eddie" Rogers of Shepherdsville; his niece Doris Morgan of Shepherdsville; along with 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
