James Edward Nichols 84, of Shepherdsville passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024.
James was a Christian by faith. He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, biking and running. He enjoyed working and building things around the house and keeping his yard in perfect shape. He was great with animals and children, always happy with a great sense of humor. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was the treasurer of the homeowner’s association for several years and was active in his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Verna Nichols. James is survived by his wife Barbara L. Nichols; his children Barry Dean Nichols (Sally) of Redmond, WA and Pamela Jean Reichle (Matt Johnson) of Mount Washington; Sue Morris of Mount Washington, Jerry Nichols (Kathy) of Fern Creek; his grandchildren Brittany (John Murray), Allison and Davis.
Cremation was chosen by the family.
