James “Jamie” Richard Hodge, 51 of Shepherdsville passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
Jamie was a Baptist by faith. He proudly worked as a propane truck driver before becoming disabled. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Jamie was a BBQ master and loved preparing mouthwatering meals for his family. He was an avid television watcher, his favorite programs were home improvement/remodeling shows, Mash, and King of the Hill. Jamie got the most joy from spending time with his children and grandchildren, they were his entire world.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry & Martha Greenwell and James & Billie Hodge.
Jamie is survived by his loving wife of over 26 years Melinda "Mendy" Hodge; his children Cara Franko (Michael of Radcliff, Corey Graham (Alex) of St. Louis, MO, James Zachary Hodge and Alison Hodge both of Shepherdsville, and William Prater (Nicole) of Radcliff; his parents Alice and Gary Lavely of Shepherdsville; his siblings Kerry Graham of Shepherdsville, Eric Mattingly (Emily), and Bryan Golder (Marcia) both of Radcliff; his grandchildren Holliston Franko, Micah Franko, London Franko, Emmi Franko, Alaynah Hodge, Jamison Hodge, Colden Franko, Michael Prater, Kayla Prater, Ely Prater, Zack Bott, Landon Prater, Tessa Prater, Gabe Hamilton, and Kailer Lampkin; along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be at noon on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Winter officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery
Visitations will be Friday 3:00–8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
